MANILA — The Tripa de Gallina Bridge in Buendia, Pasay City will be closed to traffic from Maundy Thursday until Easter Sunday to pave the way for its rehabilitation, an official of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Tuesday.

“The rehabilitation has already started but private contractors required the bridge’s full closure for some concrete pouring works,” said MMDA general manager Jose Arturo “Jojo” Garcia in a press briefing.

The bridge closure will take effect from midnight of Wednesday until noon of Sunday.

Motorists from Buendia Avenue going to Taft Avenue are advised to take Emilia Street and exit to the westbound lane of Buendia.

Buses and cargo trucks must use the counterflow on the eastbound lane before exiting through Tramo Street back to the westbound lane of Buendia Avenue.

Motorists coming from Taft Avenue must stay on the eastbound lane of Buendia Avenue.

Meanwhile, road re-blocking will also be done on Katipunan Avenue after F. dela Rosa Street in Quezon City from Friday, April 17 at 11 p.m. to Monday, April 22 at 5 a.m.
