MANILA — The much-awaited list of the country’s new lawyers may be released on Friday, the Supreme Court (SC) confirmed.

The total examinees — 8,155 in all — is the most number so far in the history of the Bar examinations.

The 2018 Bar Examination held last November is the 117th in the country.

The past five years has seen the passing rate in the grueling four-week exam range from 17.76 percent (2012) to as high as 59.06 percent (2016).

A special en banc (full court) session has been scheduled to deliberate on the results of the exam, the tribunal’s Public Information Office said.

Associate Justice Mariano del Castillo, chair of the 2018 Bar exams, will make the announcement at the SC front yard in Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.

A LED wall will show the list of successful Bar examinees.
