MANILA — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers will prevail over most parts of the archipelago due to localized thunderstorms affecting the whole country, the weather bureau said Sunday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and localized thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its latest weather forecast.

PAGASA added southwesterlies will affect Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, rain showers and thunderstorms will affect Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao and Central Visayas due to a low-pressure area.

PAGASA also advised against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds will blow all over the country while coastal waters along all areas will be slight to moderate.

The minimum temperature for the day is 25.6°C while the maximum temperature is at 33.0°C, PAGASA said.
