Maningkil to fight dangerous Sasan May 27

DAVAO CITY – Light flyweight Dave Maningkil of Davao City will fight the dangerous Roland Sasan of Bohol in a non-title bout in Candijay, Bohol on May 27.

The 27-year-old Maningkil (5W-9L-2D, 1KO) knocked out Vincent Dayaganon in round 1 in a General Santos City bout in 2016.

Maningkil, however, lost by a majority decision to Ruel Julian on a March 14 boxing event.

Sasan (7W-1L-0D, 3KO) beat Ryan Makiputin by a majority decision on a March 2 bout in Talibon, Bohol.

Meanwhile, John Kenan Villafor (8W-5L-3D, 2KO) of Cebu will trade punches with Crison “Cowboy” Omayao (24W-19L-4D, 8KO) of Bukidnon in the main supporting bout.

The other fights are the eight-round Anthony Galigao vs. Belmar Plaza bout; the eight-round Reymond Empic vs. Angelito Merin bout; the six-round Jimmybie Cais vs. Jerry Tabago bout; and the four-round Kier Torregosa vs. Roga Libres bout.
