Gilas Women fall to China in FIBA 3×3 U18 WC playoffs

MANILA — Gilas Pilipinas Women fell short of a brave stand against China and lost, 12-21, in the quarterfinals of the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup in Ulaanbataar on Friday.

He Zhouze was just unstoppable for Gilas Women, matching their total output with 12 points including back-to-back two-pointers in crunch time that helped China break away from them.

Liu Bei added six markers capped by the finishing deuce with 22.9 seconds left, while Wu Xianglin contributed three.

Angelica Surada led Gilas Women with four points, while Karl Ann Pingol and Ella Fajardo each had three and Camille Clarin added two.
