Cloudy skies, isolated showers over PH on Sunday

By Ma. Teresa Montemayor | Philippine News Agency

MANILA — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers will prevail over most parts of the archipelago due to localized thunderstorms affecting the whole country, the weather bureau said Sunday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will affect Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its latest weather forecast.

PAGASA said localized thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

It reminded the public that flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds will blow all over the country while coastal waters along all areas will be slight to moderate.

The maximum temperature for the day is 34.8°C while the minimum temperature is at 26.0°C, PAGASA added.
