DAVAO CITY – Undefeated Dave “The Hunter” Peñalosa battles Lerato “Lights Out” Dlamini of South Africa for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) international featherweight title on Friday (July 12) at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Peñalosa, who has unblemished 15-0 ring record with 11 wins via knockouts, is a tactician fighter who can move in the ring, go inside or fight any style against the opponent.

The 25-year-old son of former world champion Dodie Boy Peñalosa said he is happy to be a part of the Amir Khan–Neeraj Goyat undercard.

A native of Cebu City, Peñalosa came from an impressive 4th round technical knockout victory against Marcos Cardenas (19-6-1) to win the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental belt at the SM City North EDSA in Quezon City on Feb. 16, 2019.

He is expected not to be complacent against Dlamini who lost only once in 13 fights and has six victories in short distance.

Dlamini defeated Haidari Mchanio of Tanzania to win the vacant International Boxing Federation Continental Africa featherweight title in South Africa on Oct. 21, 2018.

Khan (33W-5L-0D, 20KO) of United Kingdom and Gojay (11W-3L-2D, 2KO) of India will face each other for WBC welterweight crown in the main event.
