ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) conducted a one-day caravan Wednesday to accommodate gun holders acquiring License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) in this city.
Brig. Gen. Froilan Quidilla, PRO-9 director, said the caravan aims to make it easier for gun owners in this city and neighboring places to apply for new LTOPF and renewal of gun licenses.
Quidilla said the Regional Civil Security Unit-9 (RCSU-9) will receive applications for LTOPF and for the delinquent gun owners to have their expired LTOPF’s renewed.
The caravan started at 9 a.m. at the City Mall in Barangay Tetuan, and ends at 5 p.m.
Quidilla said the one-day caravan is a one-stop-shop activity wherein applicants can process the requirements for LTOPF such as the neuro-psychiatric screening, drug test, police clearance and clearance from the court or National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
He said the activity is part of the “Pulis Natin Caravan” that seeks to bring police services closer to the people.
