NPA member captured in EPD AOR

A 45-year-old NPA member, who is a resident of Daraga, Albay was arrested after a manhunt operation at around 6:00 PM of September 7, 2019 along Christ the King St., Barangay Santolan, Pasig.

The target person was identified as Joselito Novelo y Naag who was successfully arrested by joint personnel of ISOD, RIU-NCR and RIU 5 of PNP Intelligence Group, DID, EPD and R2/RSOG, PRO5.

Records revealed that Naag was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for cases of robbery, murder and frustrated murder from Legazpi City RTC.

Naag, a CTG member, is listed as member of Kilusang Larangang Guerilla 78, KOMPROB Albay based on the 1st Quarter 2019 Periodic Status Report (PSR).

He is also listed as DILG MWP as per DILG Memo Circular 98-219 with monetary reward of Php 100, 000.00.

Likewise, he is listed as No. 30 in the Regional Most Wanted Person of PRO 5.

Naag is now under the custody of District Intelligence Division, EPD for documentation prior to his return to the issuing courts.

PBGen. Almazan said “that the successful arrest of the NPA member is in line with the intensified campaign against criminality and illegal drugs and crime prevention as what the PNP Chief Oscar D. Albayalde and NCRPO Chief Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar directed upon them”.
