Second BuCor bribery witness testifies at Senate inquiry

As the Senate continued its hearing on the implementation of the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law, alleged corruption within the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) unraveled in different forms. BuCor officials were under fire in the face of accusations of “early release for sale” and covert transactions for mobile phones and contraband to get into the Bilibid penitentiary. Lifestyle checks will be in place to confirm the allegations made by inmates and their famlies.
