PNP: non-compliant GCTA-freed convicts under monitoring

Despite the Department of Justice’s instruction to suspend the pursuit of GCTA-freed convicts still on the loose, pending the finalization of the list of the fugitives, the Philippine National Police (PNP) warns they are still under monitoring. The PNP points out that no chase of the cons transpired during the President’s 15-day deadline and tracker teams were deployed only at 12:00 A.M. of 20 September 2019 which resulted to four arrests in Metro Manila. Police headquarters nationwide are still open to surrederers who are assured that their human rights will not be violated.
