Philippine Army utilizes idle lands for agriculture

The Philippine Army is doing its part in helping the environment by planting trees and crops in idle hectares of land in Camp O’Donnell, Tarlac. Dubbed as “Hardin ng Lunas”, this project has already been duplicated in 11 camps nationwide not only for the consumption of soldiers and their dependents but also to contribute to the country’s vegetable supply. During harvest time, the Army coordinates with the Department of Agriculture to sell crops harvested at affordable prices
