2 Cavite cities to benefit from DFA mobile passport services

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — Around 1,100 passport applicants from the cities of General Trias and Dasmariñas in this province will benefit from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) mobile passport services slated in November this year.

The DFA has scheduled the mobile passport services from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. respectively for Dasmariñas City on Nov. 4 at the Animo La Salle Health Services Institute (DLSHI) while the General Trias City leg is set on Nov. 11 at Robinson’s Place mall in the city.

Under the Philippine Passport Act of 1996 and the DFA’s directives, the mobile passport services will accept application of new and renewal of passports.

Interested applicants may download the application form from the DFA website (https://consular.dfa.gov.ph/ general-requirements) or visit their respective city’s registrar’s office for the requirements.

The fee for the mobile passport services is P1,200.

Deadline for submission of application with the supporting documents is set on Oct. 13, for Dasmariñas and Oct. 15 for General Trias.

Due to the limited slots, the mobile passport services has allotted around 500 for Dasmariñas and 600 for General Trias. Applications will be treated on a first-come-first-served basis.

The program will not accept walk-in applicants or applications for the replacement of lost valid passports.

However, it will entertain applications for lost and expired passports and personal appearance is required for all applicants.
