Pres. Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act 11449 which amends the “Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998”. Under the new law, the commission of a crime using access devices is considered a form of economic sabotage and a heinous crime. Bank hackers and skimmers may face punishment up to the maximum level allowed by law.
