PhP54-M worth of shabu intercepted by BOC-NAIA

Bureau of Customs-NAIA intercepts PhP54 million worth of shabu at around 2:30am today, October 7, 2019 from an Indonesian passenger, Agnes Alexandra, from Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Alexandra arrived in Terminal 3 via flight 5J 528. The alert Bureau of Customs personnel x-rayed the baggage and saw suspected dangerous drugs which eventually yielded positive for Metanphetamine Hydrochloride or shabu after the test.

BOC coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for inventory which was found to be 8 kilos of shabu.

The turnover of the drugs and apprehended Indonesian passenger will immediately be done.

A press conference will be scheduled this morning by BOC-NAIA. (PR)
