82 OFWs return from Taiwan today

Following the closure of their company in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, 82 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have decided to come back home today, 08 October 2019, with the help of the government. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration has welcomed the repatriated workers as they arrived in the country. They have been unemployed for three months after different branches of the company started offering voluntary resignation and eventually closed shop. Since August 2019, the Philippine government has been assisting the affected Filipinos in their repatriation. The OWWA assured that they have received wages due them.
