“Sabayang-patak” reaches Baseco Compound, Manila

The Department of Health (DOH)’s “Sabayang-patak” anti-polio program goes to Baseco Compound, City of Manila where numerous health workers divided themselves into 20 groups to vaccinate 6,000 children aged 5 years old and below, This is part of round one of the project which is meant to immunize 90,000 Manileño children within the age range. Baseco Compound is one of the priority areas to receive the vaccine due to its environment and many parents are receptive to the anti-polio drive In the course of the house-to-house service. Health workers will be making their rounds to approximately 900 barangays in the city that starts today, 14 October and ends 27 October 2019. There will be dissemination stations of the vaccine in malls, schools, and churches. For the benefit of working mothers, door-to-door vaccinations will be conducted every Saturday.
