ARTA to file raps vs. erring government officials weekly

The Anti-red Tape Authority (ARTA) keeps steadfastly its mandate on the obliteration of corruption and snail-paced services in the government. On Thursday, October 17, 2019, the agency has filed a case before the Office of the Ombudsman against an unnamed governor who delays the release of permits resulting in the slowdown of the local government unit’s services. The agency plans to file more cases against erring high government officials in the coming days. The ARTA is keeping its eyes on the Food and Drug Administration, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, and Land Transportation Authority, with the end of enhancing their performances. The public is encouraged to report irregularities through the ARTA email and social media accounts. For its streamlining wfforts, agency will launch its project NEHEMIA or National Effort on the Harmonization of Efficient Measures of Interrelated Agencies for people who are interested to put up businesses. They will be afforded with greater convenience by having a one-stop-shop destination to avail of the services of some national government arms like the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Home Development Mutual Fund.
