Iligan City under state of calamity due to dengue

Iligan is still under a state of calamity due to the consistently high number of dengue cases in the city. Over 1800 dengue cases have been recorded from January to October this year. The Iligan City Health Office states that the 18 cases resulted to the death of children ages 10 and below. The local government is relentless in its information dissemination campaign via the “Aksyon Barangay Kontra Dengue” program to create awareness on the the importance of the dengue vaccine.
