“It is purely muscle spasm.” This was the assurance of Sen. Bong Go, explaining the excruciating pain that drove Pres. Rodrigo Duterte back home too soon from Japan where he graced the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Naruhito. The senator further assured that there is nothing to worry about and that what the Chief Executive needs is rest.
As proof that he is strong enough, Sen. Go referred to Pres. Duterte paying his last respects to his dear friend, the late Senate President Aquilino “Nene”Pimentel, Jr. upon his arrival in the country.
The former special assistant to the president also denied the rumors circulating that the president was given a cold treatment which pushed him to cut short the trip. Sen. Go clarified that Japan equally treated all world leaders who graced the emperor’s coronation.
