PNP dismissed alleged ninja cop in Antipolo drug raid

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has instructed the termination of Police Lieutenant Joven de Guzman whom led the buy bust operation in Antipolo City in early 2019. The police team was proven to have enrooted an illegal drug in the suspect. PNP Officer-in-Charge Archie Gamboa said that de Guzman was given 10 days to respond to the accusations against him. de Guzman was also one of the policemen whom carried out the controversial buy bust operation in Pampanga in 2013. “Pag hindi na naman s’ya sumagot, then that’s executory, and his next course of action is to appeal. Pero i-implement na namin. And his next course of action by reason of appeal will be under the national appellate court,” informed Gamboa.
