DOH confirms PHL’s 4th polio case

The Department of Health (DOH) verified the fourth case of polio in the country following the tests performed by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine and National Institute of Infectious Diseases, Japan. The agency further informed that it is already undertaking a vaccination campaign for all children aged nine years old and below. For Mindanao, where the recent polio patient is situated, it receives the next round of polio vaccinations from November 25 to December 08, 2019. The health department, finally, told that the eradication of polio will be facilitated if parents will partake in the government’s move on the matter.
