Palace responds to Drilon’s “dismal failure” label on Build, Build, Build

Malacañan takes a rock-solid stance in the face of Senator Franklin Drilon’s “dismal failure” tag on Duterte administration’s Build, Build, Build program, by saying that the project is indeed effective. Proofs to this, says Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, are the different infrastructure strategies that have been initiated by the state, ranging from roads, bridges, airports, and other public works–all embody the numerous construction plans of the government. Specifically, the state has crafted Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 Cavite extension, Metro Rail Transit Line 7 common station, LRT-line 2-extension Sangley Airport in Cavite, and Clark International Airport expansion. “It’s baseless. E marami ngang ginagawa ang administrasyon . . . E siguro s’ya mag-DPWH secretary para malaman n’ya kung anong ginagawa ni Mark Villar” (It’s baseless. The administration does many . . . Maybe he can sit as DPWH secretary for him to know what Mark Villar is doing) avers Panelo.
