5.9 magnitude quake hit Bukidnon

A magnitude 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook Northern Mindanao on Monday, November 19, 2019. The Provincial Disaster Reduction Risk and Management Office of Bukidnon informed that 61 structures in the province were severely damaged, including homes, health centers, barangay offices, and hospitals. Classes have also been suspended following the shake. There were no deaths from the incident, but five individuals incurred injuries. The epicenter of the quake was in Kadingilan, Bukidnon, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. The afflicted residents utilize covered, basketball courts as temporary tenements.
