NCRPO mourns the loss of another comrade who died in an armed encounter in Sta. Cruz, Manila

The National Capital Region Police Office mourns the loss of another colleague in the police service who died from an armed encounter to rid victims of a robbery/hold-up incident that took place at Blumentritt, Sta. Cruz, Manila on December 11, 2019.

NCRPO Acting Regional Director, PBGEN DEBOLD M SINAS said that the NCRPO mourns and condoles with the bereaved family of PCpl Edgil Bombase of Manila Police District’s Station 3 – Central Market Sta. Cruz Police Station, who died with his boots on while fulfilling his sworn duty.

“In strongest sense, the National Capital Region Police Office condemns another killing of our dear comrade,” PBGEN SINAS said.

“PCpl Bombase died due to multiple organ failure at 3:10PM, yesterday, December 15, 2019. But he died with honor and integrity of having accomplished the mission of neutralizing one notorious robbery/hold-up suspect, he is NCRPO’s police hero,” he added.

The NCRPO will be recommending to give the posthumous award of Medalya ng Kadakilaan in recognition of Police Corporal Edgil Bombase’s heroic death. NCRPO will also shoulder all the hospital and funeral expenses of the family.

PNP officer-in-charge, Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa also extended his condolences and support to the family of the slain policeman.

Meanwhile, NCRPO vowed to maximize all means to ensure that justice be served for the soul of our gallant officer and his family.
