7 killed by 6.9 magnitude shake in Davao del Sur

The 6.9 magnitude earthquake that visited Davao del Sur in the afternoon of Sunday, December 2019 caused a great deal of damage in the area. There were seven deaths per the National Risk Reduction and Management Council: three came from Padada, two from Magsaysay and Hagonoy, one from Matanao, and another one from Malita. The quake also injured 49 individuals and afflicted 1,951 families. The Department of Education, for its part, informs that 800 schools were impaired in Regions XI and XII. The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service has its eyes on the aftermath of said earthquake.
