Araneta Center Bus Terminal in normal situation yet; LTO, LTFRB on the ground to ensure passengers’ welfare

The number of passengers in the Araneta Center Bus Terminal is normal yet. This is attributed to the public’s discretion to travel early to avoid the influx of passengers from Friday, December 20, 2019 onwards.

The transportation arms are also bent to ice the public’s welfare this holiday season. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) inspected the conditions of the buses and their drivers in said bus port earlier this morning, December 17. The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), for its part, issued over 1,000 special permits nationwide to increase the number of buses for the public. It also forewarned taxi wheelmen about deleterious practices such as refusal to give a ride to passengers, padding of travel fee, and malicious conduct. Passengers that will experience said unwanted actions are advised by the LTFRB to take a picture of the cab’s plate number and report the incident immediately to the office together with said photograph.
