Typhoon Ursula ruptured Occidental Mindoro

The Occidental Mindoro province, while recovering from the onslaught of typhoon Tisoy, was assaulted anew by another typhoon. The aftermath of typhoon Ursula came in the forms of damaged structures and tumbled trees. Right on the Christmas Day, December 25, 2019, numerous houses were left destroyed, many electric posts lost their steepness and ended slant, and other structures fell. The torn houses were mainly in the municipalities of San Jose, Rizal, Magsaysay, and Calintaan. The marketplace in San Jose, further, got stripped off with some of its outer parts. The schools in the across province were impaired as well, primarily by the tumbled trees that fell on the structures.

Communications and electricity in Occidental Mindoro were similarly impaired by typhoon Ursula. The cell towers of telecommunication firms were shook, resulting in limited signal in the area. Electricity there, further, is out following the aforementioned disaligned electric posts.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council evacuated a considerable number of residents situated on the coastal areas.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council now identifies the cost of damage brought about by Ursula.

The residents solicit potable water, food, blankets, medicines, and pecuniary assistance to purchase reparation materials for their torn dwellings.
