NDRRMC informs on the initial assessment on the aftermath of typhoon Ursula

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) shares the details of the agency’s first evaluation on the provinces that suffered the wrath of typhoon Ursula. The aftermath of the typhoon are fallen trees and electric posts, scattered metal sheets that constituted the roofs of houses, and wrecked dwellings. Reports on the presence of casualties also surround, though pending verification. Numerous places felt the fury of Ursula, a multiple-landfall typhoon, which included Panay, Eastern Samar, and Mindoro. There were approximately 58,400 individuals that encompassed in the preemptive evacuation, coming from various provinces. Local power cooperatives sustain their reparation to restore the electricity supply in Eastern Visayas. Clearing operations continue in affected areas to eradicate the tumbled trees and other blockages on the roads. Relief undertakings by local governments are effective. The NDRRMC advises the public to postpone sea travels in affected areas, such as CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Eastern Visayas, as typhoon Ursula is still present there.
