PCG fed stranded passengers, attended distressed people

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) distributed meals to stranded travelers, approximately 25,000 in number, situated in the different sea ports across the country, following the onslaught of typhoon Ursula. The agency also helped out in bringing patients to their destination. The national coast watch, moreover, augmented the efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in delivering relief items to typhoon-afflicted areas. The PCG, in addition, keeps its eyes on sailing boats within the Philippine territory for the safety of the mariners. Passengers are advised to resume their sea trips after the exit of typhoon Ursula.
