Villavende’s murder angered Malacañan

PR

The palace condemns the slaying of overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Kuwait Jeanelyn Padernal Villavende. It considers the wicked act as an infringement of the agreement between the Philippines and Kuwait on the protection of OFWs in Kuwait. The Malacañan confirms that it is now on its toes in obtaining justice on the murder, alongside the guaranteeing assistance to Villavende’s family. “President is outraged by that. It is a violation of the agreement between these two countries, and the incident is under investigation. The secretary of labor, as you said, is already executed a partial deployment. Let’s see if it becomes full deployment of the ban” informs Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo.

Condolences are likewise conveyed to the family of the killed OFW.

Her female employer, allegedly, took Villavende’s life. The suspect is now in the custody of Kuwaiti authorities.

In a separate news, the Malacañan confirms that another American solon, Senator Edward Marky of Massachusetts, is now prohibited in entering the Philippine jurisdiction. The Philippine government’s tit for tat move on Marky was consequent to his support for the proscription of entry into the American territory of Philippine government officials involved in imprisoning Senator Leila de Lima.

Concerning the marshal leadership of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the palace confirms that Eastern Mindanao Command Chief, Lieutenant General Felimon Santos Jr., was catapulted to the chief of staff post of the military, vice Noel Clement.

President Rodrigo Duterte, as the last information, visits the earthquake survivors in Davao del Sur tomorrow, January 03, 2020.
