In the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the Bureau of Quarantine heightens the screening of passengers coming from China following the mysterious disease originating from said country. Quarantine officers are now deployed in the terminals of the airport to man the thermal scanners on passengers. The disease has symptoms similar to flu–excessive body heat.
The Department of Health advises individuals traveling to China to wear face masks and maintain proper hygiene.
