Philippines has enough funds for repatriation of Filipinos in Middle East – DBM

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) guaranteed the sufficient budget for the repatriation mission on Filipinos situated in Middle East, following the aggravating conflict between the United States of America and Iran. The budget office informed that the same was included in the 2020 General Appropriations Act. Specifically, there is PHP1.29 billion under the Department of Foreign Affairs’s allocation, PHP100 million within Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)’s budget, and the OWWA fund.
