Intel points to Trillanes as behind ‘Bikoy Videos,’ President Duterte says

The truth will always prevail even if former senator Antonio Trillanes IV manipulates events, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said, stressing that intelligence reports pin him down as the producer of the Bikoy videos.

While visiting the tomb of his parents in Davao City Friday, the President watched a video featuring a man who claims to be Joseph Advincula, brother of Peter Advincula. Peter was known as “Bikoy.”

In an interview after watching the video, the President said Trillanes cannot claim ignorance because he has intelligence reports pointing to the former senator as the one behind the ‘Bikoy’ videos.

“However you manipulate events … truth will always prevail,” the President said, noting that Trillanes and the Magdalo Group are behind the videos.

“’Yang independent intelligence… hindi lang naman sila lang ang meron, eh presidente ako so I have also access. Alam man namin ‘yan na s’ya.”

Trillanes is facing charges on conspiracy to commit sedition because of the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.

Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go also said in a previous interview that Trillanes was the one behind the ‘Bikoy’ videos because the production of the materials is obviously well-funded and cannot be done by Advincula. The videos appeared to be made by professionals, he added.
