PNA Newsroom webcast set to air Oct. 16

MANILA – State-run Philippine News Agency (PNA) will air its first webcast, titled PNA Newsroom, on October 16, providing the public with a rundown of the day’s top stories.

The PNA Newsroom wraps up the most significant Philippine news of the day – national, provincial, business, and sports. It will also include a weather report, lifestyle features, and teasers on special interviews or segments produced by the PNA-TV production team.

News and Information Bureau (NIB) Dir. Gigie Agtay said the PNA news webcast is just part of the many initiatives meant to revitalize the 44-year old state-run online news agency.

“This is the brainchild of Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar who believes that introducing reforms in PNA goes with the innovation to provide better solutions to meet new requirements and demands, unarticulated needs for our readers especially the Filipinos,” Agtay said.
