PRRD not interested in De Lima’s list – Palace

Malacañang has shrugged off the reported list of Senator Leila de Lima on people behind her incarceration, even if President Duterte tops the list.

“Eh hindi ba, he already made a statement on that. He’s not interested, he’s not even interested in going there. ‘Di ba he declined the invitation na,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said.

“Eh hindi ba, sabi natin, any country has the authority, the discretion to ban any foreigner,” he added.

The Palace said it doesn’t care about the list since the case of the senator has undergone the legal process.

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra expressed confidence America will thoroughly check the list of de Lima who recommended those behind her imprisonment be banned from entering the US.

“I am not interested to know who are (on) her list… I trust that the US State Department will exercise its own independent evaluation and exercise prudence and circumspection,” Guevarra said.

Guevarra also said he is not interested in the content of the list and believes the US State Department will conduct an independent investigation.

Sen. Bong also said no one placed de Lima in jail other than herself.

“Maniniwala lang ako kapag isinali niya ang pangalan niya, sali niya ang pangalan nya dahil may kasi siya tapos drugs,” Go said.

Go said Trump is smart and that he knows the truth behind the allegations.

“Alam mo matalino ‘yang si President Trump, he is a thinking president,” he said.

“Maniniwala lang ‘yung si President Trump kapag sinali ni Sen. de Lima ang pangalan niya,” he added. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
