The activity shall be conducted through the efforts of the General Services Division (GSD) and District Collection Offices.

For the BOC main office, disinfection shall be a 2-day process beginning on Saturday where general cleaning of offices and facilities shall be conducted. Disinfection shall likewise be done on Sunday to ensure that the compound is safe for customs personnel and stakeholders.

Other measures against COVID-19 were also implemented such as expediting the distribution of donated facemasks to frontline personnel nationwide. The facemasks were donated by the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) and the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

All District Collectors, Service Directors and Division Chiefs were reminded to take the necessary precaution in conducting their day to day activities. In line with the pronouncement of the President, the Bureau is also finalizing the implementation of a flexible working schedule to lessen the risk of its personnel getting infected.

Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bureau remains committed to its mandate of revenue collection, border protection and trade facilitation.
