PRRD submits second report to Congress

President Rodrigo Duterte has submitted to Congress his second report that contains updates on the implementation of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.

In terms of financial assistance, the DSWD has already released and deposited emergency subsidies amounting to Php 16, 347, 295, 950.00 for 3,721,833 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

On the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP), 88,388 workers from 6,923 establishments nationwide have been given assistance valued at Php 441.940 million.

The DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay for Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program has “utilized Php 174.589 million, with 55,934 workers/beneficiaries.”

Regarding Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the DFA has already assisted in the repatriation of 3,857 Filipinos out of the 20,000 target beneficiaries.

The DTI has also launched 544 campaigns against hoarding and profiteering which resulted in 64 arrests. Other agencies have also conducted similar activities in support of the DTI.

The report mentioned that as of April 2, there have been 55 COVID-19 referral hospitals “designated for activation across the country” with at least one hospital per region.

As for the health workers, legislation for various aid and benefits have been enacted, the last of which was a grant of one-time special risk allowance.

On matters of security, the report said that as of April 3, “a total of 2,513 quarantine control points were established by the Joint Task Force Corona Virus Shield, composed of 38, 870 personnel from the PNP, AFP, BFP, PCG, and other law enforcement agencies.”
