DA: Supply of chicken, meat is adequate despite ECQ

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has ensured that there is enough supply of chicken and meat in the Philippines in spite of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon. According to DA Secretary William Dar, the supply of chicken has increased by 24 percent, more than the annual requirement of 1.3 million metric tons, and will last until January 2021. The supply of meat is more than enough in Visayas and Mindanao so there is no reason for the government to import this year.
