The Makati City Police will file charges against the foreign national who clashed with a police officer in an exclusive village in Makati.
Foreign national Javier Parra has been charged with disobedience to a lawful person in authority and violation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) after aggressively arguing with Police Senior Master Sergeant Roland Madrona which led to the former’s arrest.
Makati Police Assistant Chief of Police for Operations Police Major Gideon Ines explained that Sergeant Madrona fined Parra’s housekeeper with PhP 1,000 for not wearing a face mask outside the house which is against the city ordinance.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Police Major General Debold Sinas made it clear that subdivisions are not exempted from the ECQ guidelines. He added that Madrona showed maximum tolerance in handling the situation.
The Makati City Police respects the decision of Parra in filing counter charges against their officers.
The NCRPO ensured that ECQ guidelines are being strictly implemented in accordance with the law.
