Security forces welcome PRRD’s bounty for informants on NPA commanders

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed the move of President Duterte to offer a Php 2 million reward to anyone who can give information that will lead to the capture of New People’s Army (NPA) commanders.

“Good news for the AFP. That will be an additional reward for those informants aside on what is already on the AFP Reward system. This will bring in more informants,” AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Felimon Santos Jr. said.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) intends implement an all-out war against NPA.

“We have always been motivated to neutralize personalities from the CPP-NPA but the more na yung binigay ng presidente na alok na reward is a signal for the AFP and PNP na paigtingin ang programa laban sa neutralization ng mga CPP-NPA personalities (the reward being offered by the President is a signal for the AFP and PNP to strengthen the program on the neutralization of CPP-NPA personalities),” PNP Chief PGen. Archie Gamboa declared.

The government assured that informants on the said group will be given protection. – Report from Bea Bernardo
