Cebu province now on GCQ

The province of Cebu, except Talisay City, is now under general community quarantine (GCQ).

Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia said some protocols must still be observed such as bringing quarantine passes, wearing face masks, PPEs, and social distancing.

Gyms, fitness, sports recreation centers, bars, karaoke establishments, movie houses, public swimming pools, cockpits, and other recreational establishments are still not allowed to open under the GCQ.

Social gatherings are likewise prohibited while restaurant dining is allowed at a 50 percent capacity.

Garcia said public transportation such as buses, tricycles, and motorcycles are now allowed to travel in the province but must observe preventive measures and physical distancing. Buses are allowed with a 50 percent passenger capacity while tricycles must only carry one passenger at a time, and back riding for motorcycles is still prohibited.

A quarantine pass is also required for private vehicles. Garcia added sea travels to Camotes Island via Danao Port and Bantayan Island via Hagnaya Port have been allowed. Border control between Cebu province and Cebu City is still strictly being monitored.
