LRTA prepares for the resumption of operations under GCQ

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is preparing trains to be used as public transportation under the General Community Quarantine.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) and LRTA have conducted a simulation exercise at the LRT-2. Seven trains are scheduled to do rounds and 500 PNP personnel were designated to oversee the lines in the station.

The LRTA will also increase the number of security guards to watch the number of passengers entering the stations and boarding the trains. Only 160 passengers are allowed per train travel.

Health protocols such as regular sanitation and disinfection and temperature checks will be implemented.

The LRTA will also be strict in the “No Mask, No Entry” policy .
