No new set of SAP aid for June amid GCQ, MGCQ

Malacaῆang has made a clarification on the implementation of the social amelioration program.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said there will no longer be a new set of assistance this coming June as some areas in the country will be placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

Meanwhile, he reiterated that the previous promise for the month of May will push through.

I am clarifying that the second month of the assistance on SAP, which is [for] 12 million [beneficiaries], will be given to those living in ECQ or MECQ),” Roque elucidated.

This June, since all of us are under GCQ, there will no longer be aid. But based on the approved resolution, there are barangays, zones, buildings, and subdivisions that can be subjected to ECQ in accordance with the city mayors’ orders),” he added. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
