Filipinos in Tripoli advised to evacuate due to bombings

The Philippine Embassy in Libya has advised Filipinos to temporarily evacuate and avoid the series of bombings in Tripoli.

Charge D’ Affaires Elmer Cato urged specifically those in Ali Omar Askar Hospital to leave for safety. A 60-year-old Filipina nurse has been wounded in the shoulder but is now secured.

The last bombing incident was at the Al Afia Clinic in Qasr Bin Gashir. No Filipinos were injured.

Around 1,000 Filipinos are currently staying in Tripoli.
