Hundreds of locally stranded individuals stranded at NAIA Terminal 2

Around 300 individuals hailing from Visayas and Mindanao were stranded at the NAIA Terminal 2 earlier this morning after a person reportedly told them to proceed to the airport for them to be flown back to their hometowns.

Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Hans Cacdac personally attended to the situation after receiving the news from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and immediately gave them food packs. Those bound for Davao were checked in hotels later in the evening.

The OWWA also listed their addresses and will endorse the locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to the Balik –Probinsya Program.
