IATF-EID approves dine-in service in restaurants under GCQ starting June 15

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved the gradual opening of dine-in service in restaurants in areas under general community quarantine starting June 15.

In the dine-in operations of restaurants, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has insisted on the strict implementation of a maximum of 30 percent capacity and minimum health standards such as temperature checks, social distancing and placing of glass divider between the customers and the cashier. Wearing of protective gears and regular disinfection are very significant protocols.

“Hindi pwede ang face to face sitting, there is no divider. So magsa-samgyup sila on a table for four, dalawa lang makakaupo diagonally seated (Face-to-face sitting is not allowed, there is no divider. So when they opt for samgyup on a table for 4, only 2 can be diagonally seated),” DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo has stated.
