BIR extends tax amnesty until December 31

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has extended the tax amnesty until December 31, 2020 for delinquent tax payers.

The BIR explained that it considers the effect of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic to the Philippines.

The BIR has repeatedly extended the tax amnesty due to changes in quarantine classifications.

Meanwhile, the tax collection of the BIR and Bureau of Customs (BOC) has dropped to 50 percent on the month of May due to the pandemic.
