DepEd ensures security of learners in online learning

The Department of Education (DepEd) assured it is preparing for the cybersecurity of students amid the observance of online learning.

DepEd Undersecretary Alain Pascua said they have webinars on cyber safety and safety measures for television. The duration of learning through the internet, radio and television for children will also be limited.

The education department has coordinated with the National Telecommunications Commission to block dangerous pop up tabs and websites that include pornography.

Parents have been urged to access only official DepEd websites for blended learning such as https://commons.deped.gov.ph/ and https://lrmds.deped.gov.ph/ that also contain printable modules.
