DFA PR

PASAY CITY 28 June 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) released today updated Travel Restrictions infographics with new updates from more than 10 countries across the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

These new updates were from Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mali, and Mauritania; and still covered most countries/areas where Filipinos may travel. Moreover, countries included in the current infographics are home to majority of our overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

As these infographics are meant to both inform Filipinos who are allowed to leave the Philippines such as OFWs with work visas and contracts, returning resident, PH diplomat/ government official going to post or on official travel as well as those OFWs who are allowed to return to the Philippines based on foreign countries’ regulations, the DFA, through its Foreign Service Posts, shall endeavor to constantly coordinate with host governments to update these infographics and provide assistance to our nationals.

DFA emphasized that it is always best for the traveler to check ahead of travel dates with the airlines that will be used as well as with relevant Embassies or Consulates before departure or before booking a ticket.
